Abstract
Modular business legal research is a counterintuitive methodology optimally designed for effective and strategic research on a variety of business law issues. This methodology as indicated from how it is named is facilitated by modular division and interaction throughout the research process. The Y-Shaped framework serves as the backbone of this methodology. In essence, this framework postulates robust interaction between the legal foundation module and business application module. Activating this framework within the overarching modular business legal research methodology advances focused business law research with both modules informing and building on each other in the positive feedback loop. This paper showcases such pioneer methodology and provides an anatomical analysis thereof. This paper aims to introduce the innovative form of curriculum design based on the new, well-functioning approach and to provide practical insights into how better to reform the business law research curriculum in the context of academic law librarianship.
