About David Quillen, MD

Dr. Quillen received his B.A. from Colby College in Maine and his M.D. from the University of North Carolina. He completed his family medicine residency and teaching fellowship at Duke University in 1996. His first faculty position was the University of South Alabama for two years before joining the University of Florida, College of Medicine and CHFM faculty in 1998. Since coming to Florida, Dr. Quillen has had a variety of roles in the department and college of medicine. His clinical-education time is with the family medicine residents on the inpatient medicine service and family medicine clinic on main street. He is also half time with UF Health Academic IT working on the electronic health record optimization. Dr. Quillen has served in a variety of leadership roles on the COM faculty council as treasurer, president and past president. He is a member of the Admissions Executive Committee, the COM Medical Selection Committee and COM multi-mission promotions committee.
