About David N. Luesink

David N. Luesink, Ph.D. is Associate Professor of History at Sacred Heart University. Professor Luesink is a historian of modern China with particular interests in the history of medicine and science. Prior to joining the faculty in 2017, Dr. Luesink taught at University of Pittsburgh, Department of History, Visiting Assistant Professor from 2013-2017, and at Indiana University-Purdue University, Indianapolis, Department of History and Program of  Medical Humanities as a Luce Postdoctoral Fellow, 2011-2013. He is a member of the Association of Asian Studies, the American Historical Association, the History of Science Society, the Society for the History of Technology, and is a board member for the Historical Society for Twentieth Century China. 
Professor Luesink is Faculty Advisor for the SHU College Democrats club.
