About Dr David Jeffries

Dr David Jeffries is a Research Fellow in the Education Policy and Practice (EPP) program within the Educational Monitoring and Research (EMR) division of the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER). He is also an Adjunct Research Fellow in the College of Education, Psychology and Social Work (CEPSW) at Flinders University. David has previously worked as a high school Mathematics and Physics teacher and tutor/lecturer at undergraduate level. His research interests are teaching and learning in science and mathematics, cognitive psychology, early childhood development and large scale assessment. David has expertise in numerous statistical packages (ConQuest, R, SPSS, HLM, Mplus) for investigating a range of issues incorporating item response modelling, structural equation modelling and multilevel modelling techniques.
