About David Doherty

Professor Doherty’s teaching and research interests include public opinion, research methodology, and the intersection between psychology and political behavior. His work addresses topics including: how people interpret and evaluate political processes, the effects of core personality traits on political attitudes and behavior, and methods for causal inference in political science. His work has been published in the American Political Science Review, American Journal of Political Science, Journal of Politics, Annual Review of Political Science, Political Behavior, Political Research Quarterly, American Politics Research, PS: Political Science & Politics, and the Journal of Political Science Education.
