Adrian Ho, Scholarly Communication Librarian at the University of Western Ontario, is a well known voice in field of scholarly communication. He is the current Chair of the Association of Library Collections and Technical Services' Scholarly Communications Interest Group and often blogs on topics related to author rights, peer review, and publication impact. Learn about developments in library scholarly communication services from Adrian Ho during this morning session. Dave Stout (of Berkeley Electronic Press) will complement Adrian’s discussion with an overview of different approaches to successful institutional repository implementations, including staffing, content acquisition and repository promotion.
Afternoon Session: Digital Scholarship and Institutional Repositories: Doing Well By Doing Good

Jeff Trzeciak of McMaster University, recognized as a “mover and shaker” by Library Journal, is known for his big thinking and expertise in digital scholarship. During the afternoon session, Jeff will discuss the intricacies of collecting, showcasing, and preserving scholarship online. Dave Stout (of Berkeley Electronic Press) will complement Jeff’s discussion with an overview of institutional repositories and why they are so attractive to people supporting digital scholarship.
