Abstract

What is being asserted when one claims that a statement, proposition, or belief is “true”? This is the central question that concerns philosophers who investigate the nature of “truth.”

Darren Hibbs, Ph.D., assistant professor at the college, earned degrees in philosophy from the University of Tennessee–Chattanooga (bachelor's), the University of South Carolina (master's), and the University of Arkansas (doctoral). He has taught philosophy courses at NSU since 2004.
