About Darlene C. Goring

Before joining the LSU Law Center in 2002, Professor Goring was an Assistant Professor of Law at the University of Kentucky College of Law. Professor Goring received a B.B.A., magna cum laude from Howard University and a J.D. and LL.M. from Northwestern University School of Law, where she was a Note and Comments Editor of the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology. Professor Goring is the Co-Director of the Law Center's Legal Methods academic support program. She teaches in the areas of common law property, real estate transactions, and immigration law. Throughout the year, Professor Goring offers academic support, counseling, exam preparation workshops, and mentoring to first-year students. She also serves as faculty advisor to the Legal Association of Women (LAW) and the Black Law Students Association (BLSA).
