About Dannelle D. Stevens (Emerita)

Dannelle D. Stevens, PhD, is a professor in the department of Curriculum and Instruction, and has been at Portland State since 1994. Following retirement in 2016, she has continued to work at PSU for the Office of Academic Innovation as the Faculty-in-Residence for Academic Writing. In that role, she designs and facilitates monthly writing workshops to support faculty as writers using creative and reflective strategies. Her recent book, Write more, publish more, stress less! Five key principles for a creative and sustainable scholarly practice, was born out of her work with faculty in local, national and international settings. Before coming to PSU she taught at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington.
