About Daniel Lorch, MD

Dr. Lorch received his BS in Pharmacy from the University of Florida in 1978, his M.D. in 1981 at the University of South Florida and then completed a five-year pulmonary and critical care fellowship. Dr. Lorch is Board Certified in Sleep Medicine and performed the first sleep study in Brandon. He was instrumental in establishing the sleep laboratory at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital and subsequently the Florida Sleep Disorder Center at Brandon. Dr. Lorch is an active lecturer and researcher with numerous publications and has been the principal investigator in over 20 research studies. He has also been the Chairman of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital for twelve years. Dr. Lorch is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, Sleep Medicine and Critical Care. He is past chief of the medical staff of HCA Florida Brandon Hospital and is currently serving his third term with the Board of Trustees. Dr. Lorch has five children of which the oldest is attending medical school at New York University. Dr. Lorch enjoys maintaining high quality care and the doctor-patient relationship in an ever more challenging medical environment.
