About Danae Dinkel

Dr. Dinkel is passionate about developing and evaluating evidence-based physical activity programs as well as identifying factors that impact children’s ability to live a physically active lifestyle, especially in early childhood. Dr. Dinkel’s education background includes a PhD in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention from UNMC’s College of Public Health. She also holds a Masters of Science in Physical Activity in Health Promotion from UNO and Bachelors of Science in Business Administration and Park and Recreation Management from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Through the years she has worked with a variety of community programs and organizations encouraging people to be more active.

Dr. Dinkel is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), the Society of Behavioral Medicine, and the International Society of Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity. She is also a certified Exercise Physiologist through ACSM and has led group exercise classes for over 8 years.
