AbstractSome contemporary phenomena such as generalization of access to internet and mass tourism have strongly increased the internationalization of consumer law, a category formerly rather domestic. However, the internationalization of relationships has not always been followed by the updating of rules and mechanism to settle the new disputes that arise. In order to contribute to the improvement of that situation, we have conducted a comparative survey on the subject. in addition to classical issues of private international law (jurisdiction, applicable law and recognition and enforcement of foreign judgements), this book deals with the other methods (co-operation, procedural tools, arbitration, ADR) that legal systems could implement to cope with international protection of consumers.
