Dr. Cynthia McCurren has been both dean and professor with the Kirkhof College of Nursing since 2007. With expertise related to health policy, nursing education, health care delivery and practice, nurse-managed health centers, community engagement/service-learning, and interprofessional education/practice, she provides leadership on several levels, including in the American Association of Colleges of Nursing, hospital boards, senior services, and numerous West Michigan and Michigan nursing and health forums and advisory committees. Her current focus of scholarship is on creating interdisciplinary teams to care for children and youth who endure multiple adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) in collaboration with community partners.
