On December 3rd, 2020 our organization led and facilitated a webinar on the history of Anti-Immigrant discrimination in our state. On the webinar, we had the privilege of hearing local Latinx scholars and leaders speak on a wide array of issues — from the history of farmworkers in Oregon, the renaming of Cesar Chavez Blvd. in Portland, to an overview of Oregon’s existing sanctuary laws.

Cynthia Carmina Gómez, former Latino Network staff, and currently serving as the Executive Director of the Cultural Resource Centers and member of the faculty at Portland State University.
Omar Alvarado is the Advocacy Organizer in the political department of PCUN, Oregon's Farmworker Union.
Dr. Michael Hames-García serves as the vice president for equity and diversity of the faculty union, United Academics of the University of Oregon (UAUO).
