About Dr. Junaid M Asghar

Following undergraduate and M.Phil studies at the University of Gomal, Junaid Asghar obtained his PhD from the University of Nottingham UK (2016), under Commonwealth Scholarships. His interests in novel drug discovery focused on molecular mechanisms underlying the signalling and regulation of receptors. As an acknowledgment for his research work, the Charles Wallace Trusts UK awarded him with a research funding in 2015. Junaid has been associated with PharmNovo (Sweden) during his PhD studies in United Kingdom. He is also member of the British Pharmacological Society (BPS) where he has presented his work on biased signalling of some novel delta opioid agonists. Junaid is currently working as Assistant Professor at the Department of Basic Medical Sciences, Faculty of Pharmacy, Gomal University, Pakistan.
