Both Rio Tinto Alcan Inc v Carrier Sekani Tribal Council and Beckman v Little Salmon/Carmacks First Nation engaged issues involving consultation. NIL/TU,O Child and Family Services Society v British Columbia Government and Service Workers Union and Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada v Native Child and Family Services of Toronto considered jurisdiction over the labour relations of Indigenous controlled children's aid socities that exclusively served Indigenous people.
