About Connie Barnes

Dr. Connie Barnes is currently Professor and Vice-Chair of Pharmacy Practice. She is also Co-Director of the Drug Information Center. Dr. Barnes graduated in the inaugural PharmD class of 1990 at Campbell. She has been teaching at Campbell University College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences over 25 years. During her tenure, she has chaired and served on many University, College, and Department Committees including the Chair of the Grievance Committee for the University and Chair for the College’s Appointment, Promotion, and Tenure Committee and for the Academic Performance and Standards Committee. Other CPHS Committee involvement includes but not limited to Curriculum, Peer Review, Accreditation, Residency, Assessment, and Experiential Programs Advisory Committee. She also has been active in her community during the years serving on the Johnston County Board of Health, Benson Little Theatre Advisory Board, PTO President for Benson Middle School and participating in the Buddy School program at Benson Elementary School and as a mentor for senior projects. In addition, she serves as a Deacon at Benson Baptist Church and serves on the Personnel and Welcoming Committees. Research interest includes educational research.
