This test is an extension of PAT Reading Fourth Edition, developed to provide more challenging test items for students at the higher end of the PAT scale. It provides schools with objective information to underpin teaching and learning actions for stonger readers. The extended test makes use of longer and more complex stimulus texts, and is aligned with the content descriptions of the Australian Curriculum: English for each year level from 2 to 9.
