Abstract

When an electromagnetic bandgap (EBG) structure is embedded in power distribution network (PDN), impedance property of PDN is changed in the forms of shifts of high impedance resonant peaks. In order to precisely estimate the impedance property of PDN with embedded EBG structure, a new modeling method of PDN with embedded EBG structure based on equivalent circuit model and resonant cavity model is proposed in this paper. The proposed modeling method is verified by measurement in a frequency range from 10MHz to 5GHz.
