Abstract
Prior to his political assassination in 1997, the Burkinabè journalist Norbert Zongo wrote fearlessly about the dictator Blaise Compaoré's "Mobutuization" of Burkina Faso, during his long reign of assassination, impunity, and many other crimes. Translated by Christopher Wise from Zongo's op-ed pieces in L'Indépendent.
