About Christopher J. Finlay
Dr. Finlay is an Associate Professor at Loyola Marymount University. He received his Ph.D. in Communication from the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania in 2011. In addition, Chris has an MA in Communication (UPenn), an MA in Political Science (Carleton University)and a BA in Political Science (Simon Fraser University).
Dr. Finlay's work on global communication, social media and sport communication has received support from multiple fellowships and grants, including a 2009 fellowship from the Reuters Institute at Oxford University, a 2017 Matteo Ricci Fellowship from the Beijing Center, and a 2019 Fellowship from the LMU Center for Asian Business.
