Rationale:
  • Medical Spanish courses require intensive resources and faculty time 
  • Reliable tools are needed to track student proficiency and course effectiveness
Study Aims:
  • Describe student proficiency scores on a Spanish Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) using a 6-pt scale
  • Compare students and standardized patients (SP) with expert faculty scores
  • Compare student self-rated baseline and current scores for scale interpretability
