Abstract
Rich in both broad observations and textual details, Arthurianism in Early Plantagenet England is as deeply informative as it is clear and readable. It engages with familiar works and prior scholarship on Plantagenet Arthurianism consistently and constructively at the same time that it studies lesser-known texts and events. It considerably improves our historical understanding of the importance of ‘Arthur’ during this critical period. It is strongly recommended for anyone with an abiding interest in the ways ‘Arthur’ was used and in the ways those uses have continued down through subsequent literature and history.
