About Christine Ranieri

Christine Ranieri, MS, RD, LD, is a licensed registered dietitian in the state of Texas, child and adult food and nutrition educator, clinical nutrition researcher, and culinary professional. She completed her dietetic internship and received her MS in Human Nutrition in 2011 through the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Coordinated Program in Dietetics. She completed an AAS in Culinary Arts in 2003 at the Cooking and Hospitality Institute of Chicago, and a BA in English in 1999 at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Her role at Prairie View includes teaching upper-level courses in the Human Nutrition and Foods program, advising DPD students, and preparing them to apply for Dietetic Internships, post-graduate programs, and positions in the field. Prior to her appointment at PVAMU, she was the program manager for the Bionutrition Research Core at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, and a research dietitian and adjunct instructor at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
