About Christine Mullins, DNP, FNP-C, CNE

I began my career in nursing in 2002 with a Associate Degree in Applied Science from Mountain Empire Community College after completing the Virginia Appalachian Tri-college Nursing Program. I completed my Bachelor's in Science of Nursing Degree at King College in 2006 and in 2014, I earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree and attained American Academy of Nurse Practitioners certification as a family nurse practitioner.   I am licensed to practice in the states of Tennessee and Virginia.  I began my career at ETSU in 2014 serving as a Training Director and Clinical Coordinator for a $1.2 million HRSA Grant focused on interprofessional education/practice. In 2016, I served as a Clinical Education Liaison for a $1.8 million grant focused on precepting graduate nurse practitioners. In 2016, I applied for a faculty position and became an Assistant Professor. In 2022, I was tenured and promoted to Associate Professor. In the College of Nursing, I have served FNP/AGPCNP Coordinator and MSN Director leadership roles. In 2022, I earned a certified nurse educator credential from the National League for Nursing. Throughout my career as a nurse, nurse practitioner, and nurse educator, I have demonstrated excellence in teaching, research, service, leadership, and practice, as described throughout this gallery.
