About Christine Jones

Professor Jones became Director of the Legal Writing Program in 1999 and served in the position until 2011. She currently teaches courses in the areas of Legal Writing, Constitutional Law and Federal Courts. She began her career as a trial attorney in the Honors Program of the United States Department of Justice, Civil Division. Subsequently, she became an Associate with Clark, Wulf & Levine, the civil rights law firm of former Attorney General Ramsey Clark. She later served as Assistant General Counsel with the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, a litigation consultant to the Law Office for Equal Justice in Chicago, Illinois, and as a risk manager and counsel for Medical Emergency Care Associates, also in Chicago. She taught Legal Writing at the University of Wisconsin Law School and Constitutional Law and Legal Writing at William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota. Professor Jones has published in the areas of Constitutional Law and Federal Jurisdiction and is currently working on two articles in those areas.
