About Christina Walker, M.Ed

A PhD candidate in the school psychology program at Indiana State University. I have a Masters degree in school psychology as well as a bachelors degree in psychology. My research interests are multicultural competence, mentoring relationships, culturally fair cognitive and academic assessments, culturally and linguistically diverse students, school based mental health, and literacy.
Originally from the Washington DC area, I've relocated to the Midwest to pursue my education and dream of working in academia. Specifically I am pursuing a career as a trainer of school psychology students.
Outside of my educational pursuits, I LOVE to travel, shop, spend time with friends, and watch/play sports. In addition, I love board games! My favorite game is SCRABBLE. Honestly if it were a sport, I'd have tons of gold medals and be on someone's cereal box. :)
A few of the character traits I can't live without: integrity, ambition, a willingness to try, wit, kindness, openness, and an optimistic outlook.
