About Christina Zhang

Dr. Christina Zhang, is an Associate Professor of Finance, at CSUMB, College of Business.

She graduated from Tulane University in May 2015 with a Ph.D. in Finance. She taught various finance and accounting courses during her Ph.D. studies for 3 years.

Her research interests are in corporate finance, financial intermediation, and financial markets. In addition to pursuing her own research interests by presenting her work at various regional and International conferences, she served on the committee of several national conferences. As a committee member, she helped select quality papers into the conferences and organize various sessions.

In addition, Dr. Zhang is a Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM). She has also completed two levels of Charter Financial Analyst (CFA) exams. She is currently working on starting on new Finance concentration at the business school, so students that are interested in pursuing a Finance job can have the option to do that.

Moreover, Dr. Zhang is an advanced tax preparer and trainer for the VITA (Voluntary Income Tax Assistance) program. She volunteered at least 3 hours a week during the Tax season to assist low-income taxpayers with tax return filings.
