About Dr. Christa J Porter

Dr. Christa J. Porter is an Assistant Professor of Higher Education at Kent State University. She has served in various administrative positions at different institutional types. Her scholarship addresses two major strands: (1) the development and trajectory of Black women in postsecondary education and (2) the role of critical qualitative inquiry and frameworks in higher education research and praxis.
