Abstract

In this study a male is perceived differently depending on the weight of the female with whom he is pictured. The Sociocultural Attitudes Towards Appearance Scale, Obese Stereotype Scale, and Hebl-Turchin Appearance Scale were used. Men and women stereotype obesity differently and not as negatively as previously reported.
