Charlie Gibbons is the digital archivist at the UAH Archives and Special Collections. He manages the Digital Projects section and the UAH Digital Collections website. He also manages LOUIS, the home for UAH scholarly and creative output and the access point for historic university publications. Charlie worked for the Alabama Department of Archives and History in various capacities in the Education section and the Digital Assets section from 2009 to 2014. Before coming to UAH in 2018, he was an Education Program Specialist at the Alabama Bicentennial Commission, where he focused on providing K-12 educators access to primary sources. Charlie received a BA in History from Auburn University in 2013. He completed an MA in History with a certificate in Archival Studies, also from Auburn University, in 2016. In order to support Archives and Special Collections’ German-language collections, he is currently pursuing a second BA in German at UAH.
