Prior to joining PCOM, Dr. Daniels taught for 10 years at Duke University and 22 years at East Carolina University. Dr. Daniels research has focused on pathology and immunology of virus diseases and virology at NIH, Duke University and Auckland University, New Zealand.

Dr. Daniels is married to Dr. Gail Walker. His hobbies include tennis, biking, running, hiking, skiing, gardening and fishing.
