About Chandra L Sriram

Chandra Lekha Sriram is Professor of Human Rights in the University of East London School of Law and founder of the Centre on Human Rights in Conflict. (
Her publications include Peace as governance: Power-sharing, armed groups, and contemporary peace negotiations, (Palgrave, 2008), Globalizing justice for mass atrocities: A revolution in accountability (Routledge, 2005), and Confronting past human rights violations: justice vs. peace in times of transition (Frank Cass, 2004).
She is the chair of the International Studies Association Human Rights Section, on the UN Development Programme’s expert roster, a member of the advisory board of the Review of International Studies; and member of the advisory board of Palgrave/MacMillan’s Rethinking Peace and Conflict Studies book series.
