About Chan S. Suh

Dr. Chan S. Suh started at Boise State University in 2016 and is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology. He completed his Ph.D. in Sociology at Cornell University in 2015. Dr. Suh’s academic interests include democracy and civil society, social movements, political participation, human rights, social network analysis, and quantitative research methods. His research has appeared in such journals as Mobilization, Social Science Research, International Journal of Comparative Sociology, and Sociological Forum. Prior to coming to Boise State he was a Visiting Assistant Professor at Cornell University, and while there received the Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2014. During the next academic year he will teach Introduction to Sociology and Social Statistics.
