Dr. Sam is a qualitative researcher whose current focus in on the nexus between leadership, faculty work, and ethics that spans K-20 contexts. She is also interested in understanding education in broader digital spaces. Her current projects include exploring how K-12 teachers experience ethical and unethical leadership and how that experience shapes teachers' work-life; and another project explores ideas of engaged scholarship in higher education and how the institution can support faculty in that work.
