About Cathlin Poronsky

Dr. Poronsky is currently the interim director of the Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Program and the Adult Gerontology with Oncology Specialty Nurse Practitioner Program.  She is the former director of the Family Nurse Practitioner Program (2010-2018).  She has taught undergraduate, masters and doctoral students.  Current courses include Leadership and Role for Advanced Nursing Practice, and Practicum for DNP students and Medical Terminology for undergraduate students.  In the past she has taught advanced adult and pediatric health assessment and nurse practitioner courses in the management of common and complex problems of adults/older adults. Dr. Poronsky is interested and engaged in mentoring students, including helping to guide students towards publication of their scholarly work.
