About Carrie J. Menkel-Meadow Prof.

Carrie Menkel-Meadow is Chancellor's Professor of Law at the University of California Irvine Law School and A.B. Chettle, Jr. Professor of Law, Dispute Resolution and Civil Procedure at Georgetown University. She also served as Faculty Director of the international Centre for Transnational Legal Studies in London 2009-2010. An internationally recognized and award winning scholar and one of the founders of the dispute resolution field, Professor Menkel-Meadow writes in many areas: dispute resolution,negotiation, mediation, civil procedure, globalization studies, legal ethics and the legal profession, empirical studies of law and law and society, law and literature, and law and popular culture and legal education. She has served as editor of the International Journal of Law in Context (Cambridge Univ. Press) and the Journal of Legal Education.
