Bio:
Carolyn Broering-Jacobs is a Clinical Professor and Associate Dean for Academic & Student Affairs at CSU|LAW. In additional to teaching in the Civil Litigation Clinic, other courses taught include legal writing and litigation, first-year legal writing, appellate advocacy, transactional drafting, and torts. She formerly served as Director of Legal Writing and faculty advisor to the school's Moot Court Program.

Professor Broering-Jacobs began her legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable Sam H. Bell of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio in Akron, Ohio, and was a litigation associate in the Cleveland office of Baker & Hostetler. Professor Broering-Jacobs began teaching in 2000 and frequently presents to attorneys and other writers on writing, advocacy, and pedagogy. She also researches and presents on fostering grit in the law student and legal professional.

Professor Broering-Jacobs is admitted to practice in the State of Ohio, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
