About Candice Bruhjell, PhD, RN, FCN

Candice Bruhjell, PhD, RN, FCN is an Associate Professor at St. Catherine University in the MSNEL program. Dr. Bruhjell earned her MSN-Nurse Educator at Walden University and her PhD at Capella University. Candice has experience teaching in the Associate, Baccalaureate, and Graduate levels of nursing education. Her practical background is Cardiovascular Care. Dr. Bruhjell is passionate about teaching nursing students the importance of providing wholistic care, including body, mind, and spirit as well as facilitating the learning of psychosocial and health care needs for those in acute care, assisted-living, and long-term care facilities. Her research concentration is in the spiritual aspect of nursing, specifically how spirituality affects students, patients, and educators.
