About Candace Parrish

Candace Parrish, Ph.D is the Director and Assistant Professor of Strategic Communication & Public Relations Online Master's Program in the School of Communication, Media & the Arts at Sacred Heart University. She brings industry and consulting experience as well as teaching experience. Her expertise focuses on social media research, visual communication and public relations. She has been recognized nationally for her research infographics focusing on sexual assault, diversity, sustainability and body positivity. Professor Parrish is also a freelance writer who has contributed to PR Daily and the blog Social Driver and is the recipient of Communicator Awards "Award of Distinction," Poster Design Award and Best Applied Paper Award. Additionally, she has received a Fellowship for Educators Program from Plank Center for Leadership in Public Relations. Other interests include the American Heart Association where Candace serves as the Passion Committee Communications Chair.
