About Cameron C. Beatty

Cameron C. Beatty, is an Assistant Professor in the Higher Education Student Affairs program at Salem State University in the Secondary and Higher Education Department.  His research foci include the intersections of gender and race in leadership education, retention of students of color on predominately white college campuses, and global leadership education for undergraduate students. Cameron’s recent publications are on topics including supporting undergraduate Black women, gains in leadership capacity for high achieving black men leaders, and supporting undergraduate men in leadership education through liberatory pedagogy. He is a scholar passionate about deconstructing race, systemic racism, and hegemonic masculinity.
