About Burcu Tezcan-Unal

I have been teaching at Zayed University for the College of Education since 2020, following my service which started at the Academic Bridge Program in 2013. I am a published scholar and practitioner researcher specifically focusing on quality enhancement, quality development and quality and learning-oriented educational leadership issues as well as English-medium instruction (EMI), all of which ultimately aim to enhance students’ educational experiences. I am an experienced higher education professional who amalgamated my background in teaching, training, curriculum and assessment designing for over two decades, with my current knowledge and skills having received my doctorate (EdD) in the field of Higher Education from the University of Liverpool, UK, in 2018. I was also recognised as a Senior Fellow by Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) in 2017, which is an indication of my impactful experience in the field of higher education as a professor, curriculum and assessment designer and educational leader. As my current workplace is going through some major changes and has decided to close the College of Education, I am looking for an exciting job opportunity where I can learn, contribute to growth and learning in a modern setting.
