Abstract
We launched a new satellite project on November 4, 2014 — the Louisiana Anthology Cookbook. The Cookbook is an part of the larger project of the Louisiana Anthology. Find out about the larger project here.
Food plays such an important role in Louisiana literature and culture that we decided to add a spin-off that focuses exclusively on food. We hope to add recipes from all of Louisiana's regions, ethnicities, and time periods. Some of the older recipes were written for fireplace cooking or wood-fired stoves, and some ingredients are measured out in the infamous “pinch.” We would like your feedback on what temperatures and amounts you find work best. Also, we would love to post your favorite Louisiana recipe. Send your comments, suggestions, pictures, and recipes to bmagee@latech.edu. We welcome your suggestions.
