About Bruce Horner

Bruce Horner is Endowed Chair in Rhetoric and Composition at the University of Louisville, where he teaches courses in composition, composition pedagogy and theory, and literacy studies.  His books include Rewriting Composition: Terms of Exchange (Southern Illinois University Press, 2016), Reworking English in Rhetoric and Composition: Global interrogations, Local Interventions, co-edited with Karen Kopelson (Southern Illinois University Press, 2014), Cross-Language Relations in Composition, co-edited with Min-Zhan Lu and Paul Kei Matsuda (Southern Illinois University Press, 2010), Terms of Work for Composition: A Materialist Critique (State University of New York Press, 2000), and Representing the “Other”: Basic Writers and the Teaching of Basic Writing, co-authored with Min-Zhan Lu (National Council of Teachers of English, 1999).  He is recipient of the 2001 W. Ross Winterowd Award for the Most Outstanding Book in Composition Theory, the 2002 Richard Braddock Award, and the 2012 Conference on College Composition and Communication Most Outstanding Book Award.
