Description
Examines the Catholic practice of “faithful citizenship,” as taught by the U.S. Bishops, in light of the person of Jesus. Three main topics are covered: 1) Jesus’ ministry and teaching about the Kingdom of God as the foundation of the Christian social vision; 2) Jesus’ practice of hospitality as a model for connecting parish community and political responsibilities; 3) highlights from the U.S. Bishops’ “Faithful Citizenship” letter as relevant for this election season and beyond. The goal of the presentation is to help the attendees reflect on how to grow as missionary disciples in our public presence. The webinar was presented for Divine Mercy Parish and other guests.
