About Brian Van Hoozen

Dr. Van Hoozen joined the chemistry and physics department in 2018 as an Assistant Professor. He teaches classes in general and physical chemistry. His research focuses on developing computational methods to simulate vibrations in model systems for DNA base pairs. His work has been published in the Journal of Chemical Physics, Faraday Discussions, the Journal of Chemical Theory and Computation and the Journal of Visualized Experiments.
