The lobbyist-legislator influence process: An empirical examination

Abstract
This dissertation develops and tests and individual-level model of the process by which the lobbyist attempts to influence the legislator and the legislator makes a response to that influence attempt. This area is of great importance to those engaged in business, as the vast majority of all lobbyists are employed by businesses, trade associations, unions, and firms that re hired by businesses or business-related concerns.
