Abstract

Technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK) is defined as knowledge in integrating discipline-specific content with pedagogical and technological knowledge in teaching and learning. A questionnaire aimed at characterising thetechnological pedagogical content knowledge of secondary mathematics teachers was administered to a sample of 280 participants from 94 NSW Catholic schools. In general, results shows a disposition for using basic technology available in schools like Microsoft tools as well as less reliance on complex technological pedagogical skills requiring integrating ICT into teaching and learning. The need for more resourcing of educational software and hardware as well as for discipline-specific professional development is apparent.
