About Bonnie Jones

Bonnie Jones is a Human Resources Consultant with MTAS. She started working at MTAS as a Municipal Human Resources Consultant in April 2007. Bonnie's clients are cities and towns in Tennessee. Prior to her work at MTAS, Bonnie successfully managed employee benefits and wellness programs in public sector Human Resources. Bonnie was a co-creator of one of the first large employer wellness programs in the Tennessee public sector. Bonnie holds a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources from The University of Tennessee and a Master's degree in Human Resources from Tusculum College. Bonnie is a native New Englander but has resided in Tennessee for 13 years. Bonnie is married to Josh Jones, a municipal attorney with MTAS. They have a son, Owen, who is 4, and a newborn daughter, Kathryn. They reside in Maryville, TN.

  • 2012-Appointed by UT President to serve on the Employer of Choice Task force, Strategic Planning Initiative
  • 2011-Trailblazer Award for Innovation in HR Consulting, UT Institute for Public Service, MTAS

  • 2011-Appointed to serve on UT-IPS' Strategic HR & Diversity Committee
  • Created a Model Succession Plan for small cities in Tennessee, using the City of McMinnville as a case study
