About Bevin Etheridge

Dr. Bevin Etheridge started teaching at Boise State University in 2018 as an adjunct faculty member and is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor with the Department of Curriculum, Instruction and Foundational Studies.  She earned a Doctorate of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Boise State University and a Masters of Anthropology from the University of Chicago.  Dr. Etheridge’s research interests include a study of student voice and experience; action and participatory action research; and transforming educational environments to be more generative and responsive to students.  Her dissertation research focused on twenty-one Belizean students who left high school prior to completion.  Set in the historical and cultural context of Belize, her qualitative, multiple-case study focused on student perspectives concerning their school experiences, their beliefs about the purpose of school, and the reasons they left.
